Responsibilities

• Checking IDs and verifying age requirements at entry points.

• Enforcing dress codes, guest lists, and venue capacity limits.

• Monitoring patrons for intoxication, aggression, drug use, or harassment.

• De-escalating conflicts verbally before resorting to physical intervention.

• Removing disruptive individuals safely and in line with legal use-of-force limits.

• Coordinating with bartenders/management on over-served or high-risk guests.

• Watching exits, entrances, and emergency routes for security gaps.

• Acting as a visible deterrent to prevent trouble before it starts.

• Responding to emergencies (fights, medical issues, fires) and assisting evacuation.

• Contacting police or emergency services when necessary.

• Maintaining incident reports or logs as required by the venue.

• Staying calm, observant, and within legal/licensing requirements at all times.
