Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in vehicles/equipment/machinery.

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance and servicing as per schedule.

• Repair or replace faulty parts — engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, etc.

• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for recurring breakdowns.

• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.

• Conduct test runs after repairs to ensure proper functioning.

• Maintain accurate service/repair records and maintenance logs.

• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and adherence to safety procedures.

• Coordinate with supervisor/storekeeper for spare parts requirements.

• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and well-organized.
