Job Description
A Welding QC Inspector is a certified quality control professional responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and verifying all welding activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and approved procedures.
Role and Responsibilities

Pre-Weld Inspection — Verify joint fit-up, alignment, cleanliness, and preheat requirements

In-Process Inspection — Monitor welding parameters, WPS compliance, and interpass temperature.

Post-Weld Inspection — Visual inspection, dimensional checks, and PWHT verification.

Procedure Control — Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications (WPQ).

NDT Coordination — Witness and review RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT results.

NCR Management — Identify, raise, and close non-conformance reports.

Documentation — Maintain weld maps, weld logs, and inspection records.

Material Verification — Verify base material and consumable traceability (MTCs).
