Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily civil construction activities (excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, finishing, etc.).

• Read and interpret civil drawings, BOQ, and specifications to guide field execution.

• Allocate manpower, tools, and materials to various work fronts based on daily/weekly targets.

• Supervise and coordinate subordinate foremen, supervisors, and skilled/unskilled labor.

• Ensure work progresses as per project schedule; report delays and propose recovery measures.

• Coordinate with QC/QA team for inspections, testing, and approvals (concrete pours, rebar checks, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards on site; conduct toolbox talks.

• Liaise with Project Engineer/Project Manager/Consultant for technical clarifications and approvals.

• Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, and material consumption logs.

• Monitor productivity and take corrective action for underperformance.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.

• Resolve on-site issues between trades/workers and escalate when necessary.

• Train and mentor junior foremen and supervisors.
