Job Description
A Piping Welding QC Inspector is a certified quality control professional responsible for inspecting and verifying all piping welding activities during fabrication and field installation to ensure compliance with project specifications, welding codes, and approved procedures.
Role and Responsibilities

Pre-Weld Inspection — Verify joint fit-up, bevel preparation, cleanliness, and preheat.

In-Process Inspection — Monitor WPS compliance, interpass temperature, and welding parameters.

Post-Weld Inspection — Visual inspection, dimensional checks, and PWHT verification.

Material Verification — Check pipe material, fittings, flanges, and consumable traceability (MTCs).

Welder Qualification — Verify welder qualifications and WPQ records before welding.

NDT Coordination — Witness and review RT, UT, MT, PT results per inspection class.

NCR Management — Raise, track, and close non-conformance reports.

Documentation — Maintain weld logs, weld maps, inspection reports, and test records
