Job Description
A Pipeline/Piping QC Engineer is a quality control professional responsible for ensuring all pipeline and piping fabrication, installation, and testing activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards on oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.
Role and Responsibilities

QC Plan Development — Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all piping activities.

Procedure Review — Review and approve welding procedures (WPS/PQR), NDT procedures, and hydro test procedures.

Inspection Oversight — Supervise and coordinate QC inspectors during fabrication and installation.

NDT Management — Plan, coordinate, and review all NDT activities and results.

Pressure Testing — Oversee hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing operations.

NCR Management — Review, approve, and close non-conformance reports.

Client Interface — Liaise with client and third-party inspectors during hold and witness points.

Documentation — Compile and submit Material Documentation Records (MDRs) and turnover packages.

Compliance — Ensure full compliance with ASME, API, and project specifications.
